The installation of solar panels has allowed the school to reduce its electricity expenses, which previously amounted to ₮2–3 million ($563–844) per month, funded by the district budget. Now, thanks to the use of solar energy, the institution has significantly lowered its costs and become more independent from centralized power supply. According to local authorities, the system also sometimes generates excess electricity that can be sent to the general grid.
The governor of the Chingeltei district, Manduul Nyamandaleg, noted that this project contributes to enhancing the energy security of the school and reducing operational costs, as well as serving as an example for other institutions.
