- In the Chuy region, 4 billion 687 million soms in preferential loans have been received to support agricultural producers. This information was announced on February 18 by Sanjar Zhantaev, the first deputy representative of the president in the region, at a meeting of the board on the socio-economic development of the region.

According to his data, 2 billion 749 million soms were issued to 1,075 farmers through OJSC "Aiyl Bank," while 923 farmers received 1 billion 938 million soms through OJSC "Eldik Bank." These funds have been allocated under state programs for preferential lending.

The issued loans are aimed at developing the agro-industrial complex, including the project "Financing Agriculture - 13," leasing agricultural machinery, developing breeding livestock and seed production, as well as gasification and interest-free lending under the "Social Contract" program.

To prepare for the spring fieldwork of 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers is launching several state projects, including "FSH-14," "KAPK," "FOTP-2," programs for the development of breeding and seed production farms, a meat cluster in the Chuy region and Bishkek, as well as initiatives for the implementation of water-saving technologies.

Various projects of international organizations are also being implemented in the region. These include initiatives by the Asian Development Bank to create climate-resilient value chains, World Bank projects aimed at developing agro-food clusters and supporting pastoral communities, as well as the KOICA project to improve post-harvest crop management.

In the Chuy region, there are 191 enterprises in the processing industry, three trade and logistics centers, 35 storage facilities for fruits and vegetables, and 20 slaughter points.
