In Kyrgyzstan, a reform in the field of state print media is being launched. The decree of President Sadyr Japarov emphasizes the need for the development of information policy, strengthening the printing base, and ensuring the stable operation of state mass media. An important task is also the optimization of budget expenditures.

As part of this reform, the publishing house "Kyrgyz Tusu" has been established, which includes the newspapers "Kyrgyz Tusu" and "Slovo Kyrgyzstana," as well as the literary magazine "Ala-Too" and the children's magazine "Baichchekey." At the same time, the magazines "Kyrchyn" and "Zhetkinchek" have been abolished.

All publications that are now part of the new publishing house will receive funding from the state budget.

In addition, there has been an optimization of management structures: administrative, financial, and technical functions have been consolidated, a unified leadership has been established, and a common administrative and management apparatus has been created.

The Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with developing and approving the charter, staffing schedule, and budget of the new institution. It is also planned to increase the standard staffing of cultural, artistic, and information organizations by 22 positions.
