18-year-old cyclist from Shymkent traveled about 8,000 kilometers to Mecca

The journey lasted almost 50 days


Roland Anatoliy, a resident of Shymkent, undertook an amazing cycling journey, covering about 8,000 kilometers to reach the holy sites of Medina and Mecca. His unusual journey took nearly 49 days, during which he met kind people who offered him water, food, and moral support.

Roland's cycling route passed through Kazakhstan, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. On the final leg of his journey, according to local police requirements, he reached Medina by car; however, he covered most of the route on his bicycle.

Upon arriving in the holy city, he was greeted by the organizers of pilgrimage trips, who provided him with accommodation and the opportunity to rest after his long journey. Photos and videos of his travels became popular on social media, where users admire Roland, noting his strength of spirit, perseverance, and faith.

Roland's story quickly gained popularity online, inspiring many to overcome difficulties and achieve their goals.
