According to the information from the ministry's press service, during the discussion, the minister expressed his intention to continue and develop the strategic partnership with WHO, which has been supporting the strengthening of the country's healthcare system for over 30 years.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of collaboration, such as the development of primary healthcare, strengthening human resources, digitalization of healthcare, emergency preparedness, issues of antimicrobial resistance, and mental health. Participants noted that WHO recommendations and technical advice are actively applied in the development of national programs and regulations in the field of healthcare.
The minister emphasized the importance of the WHO Cooperation Strategy with Kyrgyzstan for the period 2024-2030 as a foundational document for planning joint activities, highlighting the need for its flexible adaptation in accordance with the current priorities and tasks of the healthcare system.
Particular attention was paid to international and national health events in which Kyrgyzstan intends to actively participate. In this regard, the role of WHO in ensuring the coherence of partners' actions and implementing international experience and best practices was emphasized.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to deepen practical cooperation, engage in regular exchanges of views, and implement joint initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the healthcare system and improving the health of the population of Kyrgyzstan.
