Deputy Prime Minister Torobaev met with the IMF Resident Representative in Kyrgyzstan Farid Talyshly

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, held a meeting with Farid Talyshly, who serves as the Permanent Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the President's Administration of the Republic.

During the meeting, aspects of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the IMF were discussed.
“Recent large-scale structural reforms implemented in the country have received positive assessments from international rating agencies. These reforms are aimed at stabilizing business activity, supporting key sectors, modernizing infrastructure, and creating a more favorable investment climate,” the press service noted.

Since its arrival in the republic, the IMF has implemented 12 programs over more than three decades, which have had a significant impact on the economy, contributed to reducing poverty levels, and ensured sustainable and inclusive economic growth,” the agency added.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the high dynamics of economic activity in the country is due to effective government management measures aimed at modernizing the economy, improving the investment climate, creating a competitive environment, and implementing reforms in public administration.
