- The unification of farmers into cooperatives is becoming vital for increasing their competitiveness and is a standard in global practice. This was reported on the radio by the head of the Department of Crop Production, Horticulture, and Cooperation of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing, Turat Idirisov.

He noted that in the context of small-scale production, it is extremely difficult for farmers to operate effectively alone, making unification inevitable. However, one of the key problems remains the lack of trust among cooperative members. To address this issue, Kyrgyzstan has begun implementing the practice of notarizing the internal regulations of cooperatives.

Idirisov explained that notarized documents help to formalize the shares of participation and the distribution of income based on each member's contribution—whether it be land plots, equipment, or other resources. For example, a farmer owning 5 hectares of land will receive a smaller share of the profits than one who has invested 50 hectares, which will be reflected in the notarized agreement.

According to him, last year, some cooperatives experienced internal conflicts precisely due to the lack of clear rules for income distribution. Currently, the ministry recommends that all cooperatives develop such regulations in advance and have them notarized to give them legal force.

Idirisov also noted that cooperatives that have already implemented such practices face fewer conflicts among participants and operate more stably.
