Such land sizes allow for the implementation of all necessary agronomic measures, including crop rotation, and guarantee a stable income, which is important for the development of cooperation. Additionally, increasing land areas contributes to enhancing the efficiency of cooperatives.
Idirisov also emphasized that cooperation can occur not only through the unification of land plots. Farmers can jointly use agricultural machinery, livestock, and other resources. As an example, he cited a case from the Naryn region, where residents of one street, united in a cooperative, jointly use tractors, agricultural tools, farm buildings, and livestock, having registered their organization.
Cooperatives can also be formed on a production basis. For instance, in one of the villages in the Issyk-Kul region, almost all residents are engaged in berry cultivation. For further growth, they need to legally formalize their cooperation and continue their activities, including attracting modern equipment such as drip irrigation systems.
A representative of the ministry added that currently, there are preferential financing conditions for cooperatives, including reduced interest rates for the purchase of equipment for drip and sprinkler irrigation. Financial resources can be obtained through various mechanisms, including the FOTUP programs.
Idirisov also noted that the unification of farmers allows for the formation of the necessary volumes of products for processing and export. This year, China has shown interest in importing Kyrgyz cherries in volumes of up to 10,000 tons. He added that a protocol regarding the export of this product has already been signed between Kyrgyzstan and China.
