Marat Imankulov: More has been achieved in five years in the country than in decades
In an interview with "Birinchi Radio," Marat Imankulov, who held the position of State Secretary of Kyrgyzstan, summarized the work of the current government, discussing important changes in the areas of security, economy, and public administration.

As the former State Secretary noted, the results of the government's work over the past years are actively discussed in society. He thoroughly reviewed the main achievements during this period and emphasized that a significant number of tasks were completed in five years, which had not been possible even in 10-15 years before.

In his conversation, Imankulov paid special attention to the topic of "Kumtor," noting that the process of nationalizing the mine and bringing it back under state control was quite complex and required significant efforts. He also pointed to the results of the fight against corruption and measures to ensure border security.

Recalling the difficult negotiations and conflicts at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, the former State Secretary highlighted two serious incidents in the Batken region. He also noted that during the crisis in April 2021, the president involved him in the work of the Security Council, suggesting that his experience be utilized.

Marat Imankulov emphasized the fight against organized crime, stressing that it has become more transparent to society. Additionally, he noted significant changes in the defense sector: in a short time, weapons and heavy equipment were updated, and new aircraft were acquired, which now serve to protect national interests and ensure security.
According to Imankulov, the state previously could not afford such expenses due to low budget revenues and widespread corruption, resulting in billions of soms not reaching the treasury. However, as he noted, the situation has changed now — budget revenues have increased, allowing for higher salaries and pensions, as well as strengthening the material and technical base of government agencies, especially law enforcement structures.

Furthermore, Imankulov emphasized that he personally participated in these processes and has been part of the president's team for over four years. He assured that there are still many tasks ahead, and in the new year, the government intends to continue implementing large-scale reforms and projects.
