
The martial law regime in the country is extended from February 3 and will be in effect until May 4 of this year. The bill was supported by 330 deputies, while at least 226 votes were required for its adoption. Additionally, the Ukrainian parliament also extended the period of general mobilization for 90 days, with 312 members of parliament voting in favor.
Martial law in Ukraine was introduced in response to Russian military actions that began in February 2022, when Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on the general mobilization of citizens. In August 2025, the Ukrainian government decided to allow young men aged 18 to 22 to leave the country.
