In her Telegram channel, Volk stated: “To ensure a smooth process of international transportation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has developed a draft that provides for extending the temporary stay of foreign citizens engaged in international road transport to 180 days in a calendar year.”
According to Volk, the extension will only be possible if an application is submitted in electronic format through the mobile application (ruID) “Gosuslugi” for the purpose of entry and stay in Russia.
In the absence of such an application, international drivers will be subject to the general rules, which limit their stay in the country to a total of 90 days in a calendar year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized.
